Updates and good news!!

WOW!!! Time really flies!! So, for family news...
Austin was baptized on May 16, 2009. It was quite a rush because we had to have him baptized before we could have him sealed to us which is the next big piece of news. I know most people know but Darcy and I went to the temple for the first time on May 21st and then we had the kids sealed to us on the 23rd. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!!!! Seeing the kids dressed all in white and coming into the sealing room. I am so glad to have our family sealed together for eternity!!!

Kaela has been in soccer and lost EVERY game. They are done now but Kaela had a really good time and that is what matters.
Cole has been in baseball and they needed an assistant coach. So, guess who was the assistant coach? You guessed it, it was me. We ended the year 7-5 and are going into the playoffs ranked 5th if I remember right. We are hoping to make a good run. Our kids have been improving almost every week.
Austin has been home schooled this year. He struggles a little to focus but has been making progress. He has already started the 3rd grade curriculum. Darcy found a great computer based learning program that is easier for Austin to follow along with. He didn't do any sports this season but he is still having a lot of fun.
Ethan is a busy kid. He is getting into everything, climbing anything he can find, and he is talking up a storm. He doesn't put full sentences together yet but we are getting close. Man is he a stinker some times, though!!!! Life is sure interesting with him around and he sure is cute!!!

Darcy got to go to Women's Conference with Barbara, Lisa, Kathleen, Rachel, and Jessica. She had a pretty good time. Good enough that we will probably have her go again next year. Darcy has also been helping with Kaela's Girl Scout troop. She has liked that enough that she is planning to be Kaela's leader in her next level of scouts.

Arden has been doing a lot of work. As previously mentioned, he has been coaching Cole's baseball team. Between work, bishopric meetings and the responsibilities of church, and baseball 4 to 5 days a week he doesn't have much time for other things. Work has added about 20 accounts to his book of business and expanded his area back to the whole southeast Idaho area from Preston to Saint Anthony and from Pinedale Wyoming to Burley. With maintaining the current accounts, trying to help them improve their advertising, and working to sell new advertising he feels like every spare minute is spent doing work.

On the whole, the family is doing pretty great. Our health is good, we enjoy a lot of the comforts of life, and we have truly been blessed by our Heavenly Father!!! We have pictures coming from our sealing and Memorial Day weekend. We will post them as soon as we have some.

Second Post and Family Update

Sorry I am such a slug. Things seem to get ever more hectic around here. Since the first post we have had a lot of things going on.
Cole is in boy scouts now. We went on our first camp out and WOW was it cold. Luckily we packed well enough that we stayed warm. I volunteered to go and Cole thought that was pretty fun to have his dad along. He is already moving right along on his rank advancements, too. Cole will be participating in a baseball camp and then playing Cal Ripken baseball again. He is pretty excited for this. So is dad for that matter. I think he is going to be quite good in only his second year. We will keep you all posted.
Kaela is in girl scouts. Darcy is having fun with that as she volunteered to be an assistant leader. They are selling girl scout cookies and having so much fun going to the planned sale spots. Kaela had a goal of 100 boxes and, with some help from mom and dad, she was well over 400 boxes after just the pre-sales. They are still selling cookies through March 14. Kaela will be playing soccer this spring. She is really excited to be playing again.
Austin is doing home school with mom. This has been quite the adjustment and mom says that she thinks this will be the only year we do home school. It is kind of hard to keep Austin focused while he has so many things he can do here at home. Ethan running around doesn't help that much either. We asked Austin if he wanted to play sports and he didn't want to do anything. After soccer registration was over he changed his mind about playing. Needless to say, mom wasn't too happy with this and had to tell him it was too late.
Ethan is just getting to be too funny. He has gotten to the point where he is talking up a storm. He is, by far, the biggest clown of all the kids. He runs around the house climbing all over everything, laying on the dog, and he is soooo good at doing things he knows he shouldn't be doing. He really keeps the whole house laughing.
Darcy is staying busy with all the kids activities, girl scouts, achievement days and doing all the things that keep our home running smoothly. She is the best wife and mother!!
Then there is me. Just when I start getting accustomed to my new role at work my role changes. The other salesman in the Idaho Falls area is transferring to Seattle and they are not going to back fill his position. This means that my payin accounts will increase by 22 to a total count of 34 paying accounts. I will be tasked with being an advertising consultant to all these accounts, suggesting additional products to these accounts as well as working with prospective clients in all of southeast and southcentral Idaho. WOW what a daunting task.
On the whole, our family is doing very well. We are excited about life and hopefully we can do a little better job at keeping our blog updated.
